Do you give yourself a Break?

Do you ever feel like the Energizer Bunny? Do you ever just keep going and going and going…..?

How do you take a Break? What do you do to relax and take time out for yourself?

Last week was a stressful one for me. Everyday there was a new fire to put out, and as soon as I got one fire out, another erupted.

Finally, as Saturday rolled around I was so burnt out that I could hardly see straight. As you know, I am a big advocate of Taking time out for yourself. And not only do I preach it, I also practice it.

I arranged my Saturday so that the older children would be home and assigned them some chores then I called in back up for my 5yo son and hooked him up with a friend that also has children and she took my son and her children to the Movies.

I then packed a small bag with magazines, a book and some notebook paper and headed off to a friends house. On the way, I picked up some fast food and together we spent the day on the sofa, leisurely looking through magazines and making small talk as the Lifetime Move network supplied the background noise.

I stayed there the entire afternoon and most of the evening and returned home near 10pm. I can’t begin to tell you how rejuvenated I felt! When I returned home I was filled with more energy and a Zest to get back to business!

I really encourage you to take a break when you need to replenish your energy level! It can do wonders.
