Gardening & Blogging – Just like peanut butter and jelly

In my blog travels I came across a blog entry that was so true.  A great blogger talks about the similarities between gardening and blogging. It really hit home with me since both (my blog and my garden) stuffer from lack of TLC from time to time.

Take a peek at her entry here http://mamamaui.blogspot.com/2006/08/gardening-blogging.html and be sure to keep coming back to her blog, she is awesome!!

Dinner in 30 minutes or Less!!

As a busy mom of 4 children and also the wife of a busy husband the LAST thing I want to worry about is “what’s for dinner”. Usually I work out a meal plan in advance and have all of my meals already cooked on Sunday, and frozen or refridgerated to re-head and serve throughout the week.

I wanted so share with you just a few of my all time Favorite quick meals:

Baked Honey-Mustard Chicken

  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 8 chicken thighs, rinsed and patted dry
  • salt
  • freshly ground pepper
  • 2 cups fresh bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup Italian herb seasoning mix

Heat oven to 350F. Combine honey and mustard in a small bowl. Brush over chicken thighs. Season with salt and pepper

Combine bread crumbs and seasoning mix on plate. Roll chicken in crumbs to coat.
Place chicken thighs in a greased baking pan. Bake until juices run clear, about 30 minutes.

Simple Ways To Stay Positive

The life you experience is nourished by the thoughts you think. What kind of nourishment are your current thoughts providing?

It is amazing how our thought process and our words can keep us stuck in an uncomfortable place if we aren’t careful. Life will always be filled with a few curve balls and surprises and I encourage everyone to really work at being more positive (in your thoughts, speech and actions). Work at this daily until it becomes so much of a habit, that you won’t even have to think about it.

Positive thinking is infectious and leads to a ‘can do’ attitude within any individual that adopts this approach to life.

===============================
Action Steps
===============================

  • Stop negative thoughts in their tracks. Whenever you hear yourself “thinking” a negative thought ~ STOP and replace it with a positive thought. Instead of saying to yourself, “I’m not good at this.” Stop yourself and say, “I am getting better at this with each and every try.” Stop negative thoughts in their tracks. Whenever you hear yourself “thinking” a negative thought ~ STOP and replace it with a positive thought. Instead of saying to yourself, “I’m not good at this.” Stop yourself and say, “I am getting better at this with each and every try.”
  • If you catch yourself visualizing failure, switch to visualizing success.
  • Look for the positive. No matter what the situation is, there is always a negative and a positive side of it. Sometimes, the positive side may not be easy to see right off the bat, but if you look deep enough it is there.
  • Decide that from today, you are leaving negative thinking behind, and starting on the way towards positive thinking. It is never too late to start this process and soon you notice things changing for the better.

I offer wonderful support, guidance, motivation, encouragement and mentoring via online instant messaging, e-mail or telephone.
